3. User Responsibilities

3.1 Seed Phrase Security

You are solely responsible for:

  • Securely storing your seed phrase
  • Never sharing your seed phrase with anyone
  • Understanding that lost seed phrases cannot be recovered
  • All actions taken using your account

3.2 Lawful Use

You agree to use Cipher only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Use the service for any illegal activities
  • Attempt to harm, disrupt, or exploit the service
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on the rights of others

4. Self-Custody Disclaimer

Cipher provides self-custody wallet functionality. This means:

  • You have complete control over your cryptocurrency assets
  • Cipher never holds or has access to your funds
  • We cannot reverse, cancel, or refund transactions
  • We cannot recover lost or stolen assets
  • You bear all risks associated with managing your own keys

5. No Financial Advice

Nothing in Cipher constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Cryptocurrency investments are volatile and risky. You should:

  • Conduct your own research before any transaction

  • Your wallet and funds remain accessible via your seed phrase
  • We cannot forcibly terminate access to your wallet
  • Messages already sent cannot be recalled

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Cipher shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
